Having
missed the Ho`olaulea at the Banyan Tree last year since we were playing tour
guide for my dad in Upcountry and Haleakala, we were pleasantly surprised when
we came upon the Emma Farden Sharpe Hula Festival in Lahaina the following weekend. With the 3 day festival (Aug 12-14) beginning
tonight, over a month earlier than last year, those on island, locals and
visitors alike will be in for a treat. Kicking
off with the monthly Lahaina Second Friday Town Party with live Hawaiian music,
